Hi, this is Joel Hunter. And I think the Lord sent me to you today to remind you of something you probably already know has to do with the difference between conflict and compassion. We’re often tempted to return conflict for conflict, and it reminds me of a story about the Berlin Wall. You remember that many of the West Berliners were. Christians and many of the East Berliners were communists, and there were some animosity between those two. One night, some E Berliners mounted the wall and dumped in the lots of the West Berliners. A whole load of garbage. The West Berliners resisted the temptation of returning more garbage. Instead, they got together, and that night they mounted the wall, and they lowered blankets, bread and flowers. Along with this note, you can only give what you have. We need to give out of the goodness of our heart, because that’s what God has put there. The Bible says yes. God will give you much so that you can give away much help. Somebody it will remind you why God helped you.
