Hi, this is Joel Hunter, and I want to remind you of something today. You probably already know. How good it is to realize the love of God. A long time ago, when I was in seminary, I was preaching in this little country church, and this small girl walks in with her, holding her mama’s hand, and she just had this little red coat on, and I bent down, and I said, you are beautiful. She looked up at me. She said yes. My mother thinks I’m darling. I wish you could have seen her beaming face. She knew what it was like to be well-loved. Do you ever notice a lot of people get just enough religion to make themselves miserable and make everybody else miserable along with them? That’s not what God has intended for us. It says in scripture. We love because he first loved us. When we realize how deeply we are loved, our help for other people will be more fulfilling, more gracious, and more joyous for us and them.
